Last Week:
But robbers are not the only dangerous thing in Kenya. The desert roads of Kenya are full of potholes and are not very smooth. It's easy to get a flat tire but not easy to fix one. This happened to the McAninch's one time when they were on their way home...........
Stranded
one day. They heard a huge clang after they had hit one of the potholes. There is no cell phone service in the desert. Two adults and four children were stranded in the hot sun. Rick could usually fix a problem with a car but this was a problem he needed a tool to use that he didn't have with him. Finally, he was able to get the car rolling again, though they had to be careful and go very very slow. They made it to a phone and were able to call someone to come fix their car.
What About The Children?
A man named Vincent went on a mission trip to the streets of Nairobi, Africa. He was there giving out food, medicine and clothing to the homeless children living on the streets. But when it was time to leave, Vincent was sad because he got to go home but the children on the streets still did not have a home to go to. That's when he started the ministry Into Africa.
There's No Place Like Home
With the ministry Into Africa people like Rick and Audrey McAninch can adopt these homeless children into their homes. One of the people who are raising boys is Simon. After Simon came to know Jesus and learned English he went to Bible college. Since then he has become a Pastor, won many to Christ and started 2 schools. He and his brother Jackson, are now raising 20 boys. They have a store where they sell things like hardware, bicycles and food. They even give haircuts and fix car batteries to make the money to raise all the children.
Pass It On
The people with Into Africa are teaching these boys to be Godly men. Then, when they are all grown up, they can help other children who need Jesus and a loving home.
