Cold and All Alone
Kenya, Africa is where 250,000 children live on the streets. They have no homes. They have no food. And most of them have no family. These street kids are homeless orphans that have no place to go. Their clothes are torn, they sleep on sidewalks and they have to find food in garbage cans. Most people don't like these children and ignore them. But not Rick and Audrey McAninch.

Hope for the Hopeless
The McAninch's, along with many others, drive out into the cities of Kenya looking for these children because God has called them to do what the Bible says in James 4:27. To take care of orphans. And that's what they do.

Bursting at the Seams!
Audrey remembers one time her and a friend were out looking for a homeless child to take home and care for. They didn't find just one but many who begged if they could go home with her. She did not have room for all of them but still she took five little boys who had no parents. The car was full and they were headed home when another young boy starting running right beside the moving car asking if he could come too. Audrey stopped the car and let him in. She went home that day with six new kids but she was still sad for all the others that she had to leave behind.

Big Surprise
The McAninch's try and help some of these kids try to find their families. But mostly, they bring them into their own home and raise them as if they were their own children. One day, 14 homeless boys were waiting at the McAninch's front gate for them to come home. When they got there, Rick and Audrey were surprised to see so many kids at their house. Usually, they had to go get kids and bring them home. Audrey knew that they could not take in 14 new boys. She didn't want to leave them there. They didn't know what to do....
