“The idea is to be a paradise for children, to spoil them until they are adopted or until they go home. It's important for children to learn how to climb trees, to have a place to hide, to have toys, to ride bikes, to have grass.”

Last Week:
Agape Home is a happy place. A girl came in once who looked really really sick...............

Alive and Kicking
........ but after a few days at Agape Home she started doing much better. Now, Avis wants to do something in the lives of even more children. There are so many kids that have AIDS and are orphans. Agape Home only has room for about 30 kids. But Avis wants to do more.

Bigger and Better
Roy and Avis found a big piece of land that they could build a house on that would have rooms for 125 children! It would be much larger than Agape Home. But again there was a problem. The Rideouts had never built a house before and they didn't have the time to because they were so busy with working with the children at Agape Home. So they started praying for God to help.

Someone to Help
God answered their prayers. God spoke to a man named Dominik Fechner who was in Thailand on a missions trip. Domink was an electrician and God told him to help Avis and Roy. So, Dominik moved his family all the way from Australia to Thailand so he could build the new Agape Home.

A New Home for The Children
No one knows when the new house will be done. "It's going to cost 1 million dollars," says Roy. " But God is providing them the money they need. Whenever they run out of money someone gives them more. When the house is finished it will have a main dormitory, a medical clinic, a school, a mother-baby unit, a toddler unit, a baby unit, a cafeteria, play areas and a swimming pool. "The idea is for this new house to be a paradise for children, to spoil them until they are adopted or until they go home," Dominik says. "It's important for children to learn how to climb trees, to have a place to hide, to have toys, to ride bikes and to have grass."

With God All Things Are Possible
Even though the building is not finished, the kids get to come and see it. They can still play on the big field and sometimes take a little swim in the water tank. By the time the building is finished, some of these kids will have gone home to Jesus. But Avis knows that God is good. Someday this new building will be finished and many kids will get to go there and live, have fun, learn about Jesus and maybe be healed from their disease. Every day, when Avis looks at Nikki's smiling face, she is reminded of Nikki's miracle. Nikki hasn't missed one day of school and she hasn't had any more sicknesses. "It's all because God is keeping her alive to show to the Thai people that you can love these kids, you can kiss these kids, you can give them a good life," says Avis. With God all things are possible. Nikki is alive. Avis, a foreigner was able to open an orphanage. And by faith the new house will be finished!
